So let&#8217;s get started&#8230; Below is a before [...]]]></description> <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you work with gradients a lot you&#8217;ve probably come across the problem known as &#8216;banding&#8217;.  Due to limitations in the amount of colours used by gradients sometimes the result isn&#8217;t so smooth.  There&#8217;s a known trick to counteracting this by using some noise and Gaussian blur.</p><p>So let&#8217;s get started&#8230;</p><p>Below is a before and after pic, on the left is the result of this tutorial, on the right a typical &#8216;banding&#8217; problem.  Notice how the gradient is smoother on the left compared to the right.</p><p><img
